The Worlds Most Beautiful Words and Melodies – From Germany!
Turku International Book Fair and Turku Music Festival presents a night dedicated to GERMAN MUSIC AND LITERATURE.
At the Worlds most beautiful words and melodies – From Germany! – event soprano Johanna Rusanen-Kartano and pianist an Turku Music Festivals Artistic Director Ville Matvejeff will perform music from Germany, and Rusanen-Kartano and writer Outi Pakkanen will discuss their favourite German music and literature.
Liisa Ketomäki, Turku Music Festival’s Executive Director, will host the discussion. Ketomäki and Jenni Haukio, Programme Director of Turku Book Fair, will also present their upcoming events.
The event relates to Turku Book Fairs theme for this year – Germany. The Book Fair brings German guests such as Marion Brasch, Marica Bodrožić, Jenny Erpenbeck, Mirna Funk, Wladimir Kaminer, Sylvia Löhken, Terézia Mora, Stefan Moster and Jan Costin Wagner to Turku Fair Centre on 30.9 – 2.10.2016. The Turku Book Fair also hosts several interesting and topical discussions about, amongst other things, immigration. The Goethe-Institut hosts the German guests during their visit in Turku.
The event is free and the seats will be filled in order of arrival.
There is room for around 90 people.
