PÉTUR SAKARI (b. 1992) is one of northern Europes leading concert organists. He studied with Tuomas Karjalainen and Kalevi Kiviniemi in Finland and with Thierry Escaich and Vincent Warnier in Paris. He is currently studying folk music at the Sibelius Academy.
Soloist appearances with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Sinfonia Lahti and collaborations with Soile Isokoski, Jorma Hynninen and dancer Jorma Uotinen were followed by débuts at Notre-Dame in Paris in 2017 and at the Mariinsky Theatre in St Petersburg in 2018. Sakari has released award-winning recordings such as French Organ Music (BIS Records 2013), The Most Beautiful Adagios (Sony Classical 2011) and Première (Fuga 2010). He is working on a recording of the complete organ works of César Franck and Louis Vierne.
