Francesco Corti

FRANCESCO CORTI (b. 1984 in Arezzo, Italy) studied both the organ and the harpsichord, winning the Johann Sebastian Bach Harpsichord Competition in Leipzig in 2006 and the Bruges Harpsichord Competition in 2007. He has appeared at major festivals and at venues such as the Salle Pleyel in Paris, the Konzerthaus in Vienna and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.

As a conductor, Corti has been regularly appearing as a guest conductor with Les Musiciens du Louvre since 2015. He has also been invited to conduct the Holland Baroque Society on tours of Europe and concerts of the Netherlands Bach Society. He has held the post of Professor of Harpsichord and Thorough Bass at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel since 2016.
