Andreas Sundén

ANDREAS SUNDÉN played Principal Clarinet with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra before accepting the same position with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra in 2012.  As a soloist, Sundén has appeared with many prominent European orchestras and at international music festivals. He has won numerous awards in international competitions, such as the Haverhill Sinfonia Soloist Competition in 2004. Sundén began his studies with Hans Christian Bræin at the Norwegian State Academy of Music and later studied with Professor Yehuda Gilad at USC in Los Angeles.

Sundén has held masterclasses in Australia, China, Japan, Korea, USA and throughout Europe and is artistic director at the Summer Academy in Oslo. He is currently a Professor at the Ingesund School of Music and the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Andreas’s discography includes Nielsen’s Clarinet Concerto (Daphne 2018) and Marie Samuelsson’s Clarinet Concerto (Daphne 2019).
