Clarinettist VEERA MYLLYNIEMI is an active performer of orchestral and chamber music. Recently, she has been playing Principal Clarinet with the Tapiola Sinfonietta, and she has also made guest appearances in the same role in the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Helsinki Philharmonic. She has been a permanent member of the Orchestra of the Finnish National Opera since 2016. Her chamber music performances have taken her to international music festivals, such as the Aspen Music Festival and the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival in the USA, the Boswil Summer in Switzerland, the Berlioz Festival in France and ‘Our Festival’ and the Kuhmo and Crusell festivals in Finland. Veera Myllyniemi graduated with a M.Mus. degree in the distinguished class of Yehuda Gilad at the University of South California, having studied with Christoffer Sundqvist and Kari Kriikku at the Sibelius Academy.
