Born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgian pianist NINO GVETADZE leads an international career as a soloist and a chamber musician throughout Europe and Asia. Nino received various awards, the most important were the Second Prize, Press Prize and Audience Award at the International Franz Liszt Piano Competition 2008. She became the winner of prestigious Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award in 2010. Since 2019 Nino Gvetadze is the Artistic Leader of Naarden International Piano Festival.
Acclaimed for her brilliance of sound and command of tonal colour, Gvetadze has appeared with orchestras in Seoul, Brussels, the Hague and Warsaw and given recitals at the Lucerne Piano Festival and at the Festival Piano aux Jacobin in Toulouse. Her appearances in Finland include regular performances at the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival, and she has also appeared as soloist with the Tapiola Sinfonietta and the Joensuu City Orchestra. Her album “Visions” (Challenge Classics, September 2019) with solo pieces of the English composer Cyril Scott has been acclaimed by an international press.
