Samantha Hankey

American mezzosoprano SAMANTHA HANKEY is an emerging name at home and abroad. Having graduated from the Juilliard School of Music, she has enjoyed success both in opera roles (e.g. Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro in Zurich, the title role in Agrippina at the Bavarian State Opera and Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Norwegian National Opera) and on the concert stage (e.g. Handel’s Messiah at Carnegie Hall and Rossini’s Stabat mater in North Carolina). She won 1st prize and the press award at the first Glyndebourne Cup in 2018. The Arts Desk wrote of her victory: “Polished, golden of tone, and convincing […] She has a natural charisma.”
