Jakob Dingstad

Norwegian viola player JAKOB DINGSTAD joined the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra as Principal Viola in 2017, and in the same year he appeared as soloist in Mozart’s Sinfonia concertante. He has also played principal viola at the Savonlinna Opera Festival, with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, with the Oslo Opera orchestra, with Sinfonia Lahti, with the Tapiola Sinfonietta and with the Australian Chamber Orhcestra.

Dingstad studied at the Barratt-Due music institute in Oslo and with Anders Tomter at the Norwegian State Music Academy. As a member of Quartetto Testosterone, he has performed for instance at Carnegie Hall in New York.
